Yisak Choi (Old name: Young-hwan Choi) was born in Seoul, South Korea. In 2010 he held a solo show titled REQUIEM, sponsored by the Donggang Photography Festival, which chose him among other candidates in a portfolio review competition. Since then so far, he has shown his works in more than 50 exhibitions. Choi mainly works with objects easily found in daily life to inquire about life, death and other philosophical issues through photography.
